I had a choice....and I chose to fight.
My life changed in just one day. I had a skating accident where I hit my head and injured my skull. I started to have some memory issues and some jerking of my arm. Later, I was diagnosed with epilepsy.
I realized I had a choice: to sink into self-pity or to fight. I started with my own personal educational campaign, spreading awareness about epilepsy to family, friends and acquaintances. I found creative outlets for my stress, including writing a book about epilepsy.
As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
