I struggle to find solutions for living well with epilepsy.

During my journey with epilepsy, there were many obstacles. Although I was diagnosed at a young age, it took me many years to understand what it meant. Later, when I went to an epilepsy clinic, I learned that my type of epilepsy had been misdiagnosed.

After marrying Laurens, who also has epilepsy, I discovered what it was like to be a caretaker. I helped him through several setbacks and surgeries, and he is now successfully controlling his seizures. We now enjoy our lives as the proud parents of our two sons.

As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
