Appreciate the good times – especially every smile, hug and giggle.

I was a secondary school teacher before my son Dominic was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was two years old. Today, I care for Dominic, and that keeps me very busy. He has more than 30 seizures a month and suffers from severe learning difficulties, so I have to take each day as it comes. Dominic´s infectious smile and constant bravery reaffirms my hope that one day his condition will be improved.

I try to make things better for my son by working with his doctors, school and epilepsy support groups.

As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
