As a child, I was struck with scarlet fever and meningitis, which may have triggered my first seizures; they grew stronger in my teen years. In order to gain more control of my health decisions, I refused to settle for a doctor who wouldn´t listen to me. I visited more than a dozen doctors before I found the right one for me.

Although I am not seizure-free, I am proud that l´ll never give up striving for the best life possible.
