Starting at school, if your classmates don't know that you have epilepsy then they might treat you differently. I experienced the same thing when I was a young, nobody knew in my class, only the teacher knew in my class that I had epilepsy and it was the dealing of the teacher and nobody liked to play with me. After I had the seizure in the swimming pool, in the public pool, I started to speak openly to my classmates and then they integrated me more. So talking to the other people brings openness to the disease and to yourself also helps you to cope with the disease better.
