What did you know about epilepsy before you were diagnosed?

Before I was diagnosed I didn't know anything about epilepsy, it was just one of those diseases you couldn't speak about it, it was very mysterious and very hush hush, it was almost like a kind of taboo so I didn't know much about epilepsy.
