My calling is to break the taboo around epilepsy.
I advocate for people with epilepsy as a social worker. I think education is so important that I created a self-help group for parents and started a group for young adults. To help increase the quality of life for people with epilepsy, I have participated in many educational events. Although it can be a struggle, I feel strongly that education can combat the stigma and ignorance surrounding epilepsy. Thanks to my job I have learned the true meaning of courage, tenacity and love.
As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
