Staying active is the key to moving forward.

I love doing things outside, like swimming, biking and running. That´s how I´ve been since I was a child. One of the worst things in my life was the feelings of confinement I felt when I began having seizures.
I was determined to prevent epilepsy from defining my life. I took my medication and worked with my doctor to better manage my epilepsy, and it has been several years since I´ve had a seizure. I also feel living an active lifestyle (including competitive swimming and running) helped me keep a positive attitude.
As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
