The only way to combat ignorance is with education.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was a baby, and the seizures have come and gone throughout my life. There was a time when I hid from discussing my epilepsy and avoided social situations, but now I have learned how to handle talking to people about my epilepsy confidently and without fear. I use my talents without letting epilepsy constrain me - I am a singer, a speaker and an organizer.
I travel and meet people with epilepsy from around the world as a contact person for the International Bureau for Epilepsy.
As an Epilepsy Ambassador I share my experience and encourage understanding about living well with epilepsy.
